With over two decades of culinary expertise, Conaway joins Strato Hotel Consultant’s Advisory Board to help hotels attract epicureans that usually frequent contemporary stand-alone restaurants, but who may avoid hotels. Globally trained Conaway is a true “chef’s chef,” and amazingly an “owners chef” combined. Chef Conaway brings his intrinsic love of the culinary arts to create state of the art offerings that are both delicious and profitable. Chef Conaway is now at San Diego’s hot spot the Porto Vista Hotel with his Glass Door Restaurant & Lounge atop looking out over the San Diego Bay.

After graduating from California Culinary Academy and the Royal Thai School of the Culinary Arts in Bang Saen, Rob’s career led him to Stars & Steelhead Brewing Company in San Francisco, Blue Chalk Café in Palo Alto, Lark Creek Inn in Larkspur, Scoozi in Chicago, Aubergine in San Diego, Furama Resort in Da Nang, Vietnam, and the list goes on.  Rob gives back to the industry as an educator in his own right working with Big City Chefs Cooking School and maintains a comprehensive site called AGreatChef.com to help all those who enjoy food.
