John brings 44 years experience in the architectural and construction industry to Strato Hotel Consultants. Burk has held numerous architect registrations and General Contractor’s licenses. He was in senior management at the 26th largest hotel design firm in the U.S. Responsibility for client management, programming, design, production of contract documents and contract administration on projects such as hotels, office facilities, retail, restaurants, clubhouses (golf and community) and other project types have provided him a keen awareness of the issues involved in design and construction projects. Other duties have included business planning, marketing, staff development, site selection and evaluation, development planning and approval, value engineering, and feasibility studies.

Burk’s work has included both customized and standard branded prototypical hotel designs. He is known for his ability to resolve difficult project issues, cost effective designs and meeting client desires and expectations. He is expert at putting together teams of professionals to insure that a project is successful.
